Publishing and revisions
Drafts, publishing, version history, and rolling back.
Every publish writes a revision of that page’s manifest. Nothing is overwritten in place, so a bad change is a rollback rather than a rewrite.
Drafts and publishes#
- A draft is visible only in the editor.
- A publish makes the change live on the next page load.
- A revision is a published snapshot you can restore.
History and rollback#
Each page has its own version history in the dashboard, with who published it and when. Restoring a revision publishes it again as the current one.
Approval before publish#
On plans where it is enabled, a publish becomes a request that somebody with the right role approves. The editing experience does not otherwise change.
